People need to understand that liking a character does not mean you condone their actions. 

YOU CAN LIKE A CHARACTER FOR THEIR INSANITY OR THE INTELLIGENCE BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU THINK WHAT THEY DO IS OK

YOU CAN FEEL SYMPATHY OVER A CHARACTERS BACKSTORY BUT THAT DOESNT MEAN YOU ERASE WHAT THEY ARE DOING IN THE PRESENT

 STOP HATING ON PEOPLE WHO LIKE “EVIL” CHARACTERS AND GET OFF THAT HIGH HORSE OF YOURS

Just noticed this in A Scandal in Belgravia, during the Christmas party when Sherlock is deducing the present in Molly’s bag for her ‘boyfriend’ and John knows straight away it’s for Sherlock and looks really sad for her.

Not only sad but terrified that Sherlock was about to rip her apart.

John sees more than he’s given credit for.
